Solterra Academy

Solterra Academy – A Personal Beginning
Solterra Academy is a registered homeschool program created for Vince, Jasmine’s stepson, whose educational needs required individualized attention beyond what traditional classrooms were able to provide.
When Jasmine came into Vince’s life, she recognized a highly intelligent child who was not being served effectively by the system. After exploring tutors and alternative supports, she was introduced to Chaundra Williams, known as “Teacher Moon,” whose one-on-one teaching approach proved transformational.
Today, Teacher Moon home schools both Vince and her own daughter, Madisen, in a structured, nurturing learning environment tailored to Vince’s strengths and pace.
The results have been extraordinary. Vince is now:
He has a remarkable photographic memory, a quick sense of humor, and a smile that lights up every room. His progress is a testament to what can happen when education is personalized, patient, and rooted in genuine care.
Solterra Academy is a private, family educational initiative and is separate from Solterra Foundation. However, the experience reinforced a powerful truth that helped inspire the Foundation’s mission: when children receive the support they truly need, their potential becomes visible.

Why This Matters to Solterra Foundation
Solterra Foundation’s work is grounded in the belief that many children do not lack ability — they lack access, exposure, and individualized support. The journey with Vince demonstrated how transformative the right resources and mentorship can be.
While Solterra Academy itself is a private homeschool program, the values it represents — patience, dignity, and belief in a child’s potential — are reflected in every Solterra Foundation initiative.
